At Milipol Paris, one of the largest trade fairs for security technology, international exhibitors show the latest developments, techniques and equipment in the industry. The fair will take place in Paris from 19 October to 22 October 2021. This year, the organisers again expect more than 1,000 exhibitors from various nations on the four days of the fair. As part of the Milipol Innovation Awards, the most innovative companies in the field of homeland security will again be honoured in 2021 by a top-class jury of experts in five different categories.

At this year’s trade fair for security technology, Milipol Paris, Prof. Dr. Uwe Meinberg, CEO of TITUS Research GmbH, will once again be represented as part of the expert jury of the Milipol Innovation Awards. The renowned trade fair Milipol Paris takes place every two years and will hold the coveted innovation competition for the third time in 2021. The international competition is aimed at all companies that are also represented at the fair. The aim of the competition is to award the most innovative companies in terms of products, materials, services, solutions or business models in the field of homeland security.

The five categories of the competition are as follows:

  • Cybersecurity (solutions to combat cyber threats and cyber crime)
  • Security management for major events (Access control, biometrics solutions, video surveillance, detectors, AI solutions and new technologies…)
  • Individual equipment / protection of first responders (materials, textiles, fabrics and accessories)
  • Drone and anti-drone systems, robotics
  • Crisis management (Emergency warning systems for the population, crisis management, command and control).

Companies can still submit their innovations until 03 September 2021.

On 19 October 2021, the winners will be announced at an award ceremony in Paris.

As CEO of TITUS Research GmbH, Prof. Dr. Uwe Meinberg is a member of the high-calibre expert jury in the category “Drones and Anti-Drone Systems, Robotics”. TITUS Research deals with research topics related to autonomous systems. This includes unmanned aerial systems (UAS, Unmanned Aerial Systems) and related issues such as mission planning, mission evaluation (Big Data) and thus the possibilities of exact / precise flights and landings.
