Autonomous systems are changing the way we view and interact with our world. They enable us to perform complex tasks efficiently and safely and can be used in a wide variety of areas, from agriculture to urban logistics. At TITUS, we have the vision to fully realize the potential of autonomous systems and are committed to developing and deploying the right systems for the respective missions.

Autonomous systems in port logistics

Due to their diverse characteristics, autonomous vehicle systems can be applied in different areas – here the example of port logistics

The selection of the right systemic approach for a defined task is crucial to the mission’s success or failure. At TITUS, we analyze system influence factors with an awareness of mission-specific parameters. In urban logistics systems, for example, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), ground-based vehicle systems, and autonomously operating inland vessels can be utilized. Considerations include the necessary infrastructures as well as legal and regulatory provisions.

To navigate safely through a dynamically changing environment, autonomous vehicles are equipped with capabilities such as: rapid and precise perception of their surroundings; knowledge of their own location (localization); and planning a collision-free route to a defined destination (path planning). We are constantly working to improve and expand these functions to ensure safe and effective operation. We also employ machine learning technologies to enable our systems to act appropriately and proactively in various situations.
